What do you do at K9 Krew & Friends?

I am primarily a dog walker and qualified microchip implanter, but I am also a pet sitter and assist Monica with training staff and general management.

Why did you join K9 Krew & Friends?

I am a animal lover and enjoy time outdoors, the walks also help me exercise so I keep fit at my age as I wouldnt exercise otherwise, I hate gyms. The income from my walks & services goes to the animal charitable organisation that I run and I also joined to help my daughter Monica! So it's a win for everyone!

What pets do you have? Tell us about them!

I have 4 dogs, the eldest is Chico a wired Daschund, Meia a lurcher, Bica, a Welsh & Border Collie mix and Mini a standard Daschund.

Where are you originally from? What brought you to Basildon?

I was born in Portugal, came to England over 30 years ago after travelling and living in several European countries. I moved to Basildon from West London because my dog needed better neighbours, more outdoor space and I was happy with the thought of being near the sea!

Do you have another job? Tell us what you do!

Indeed, I manage a nonprofit organization as well, where we find new homes for small animals like birds, rabbits, chickens, and tiny rodents. Animals are truly my passion, and from sunrise to sunset, that's what I dedicate my time to!

If you could be any animal in the world, what would you be and why?

A dolphin, because I would get to swim the oceans freely.

An interesting fact about yourself:

I have lived in Portugal, Switzerland, Holland and finally settled in England. I love travelling and on my holiday bucket list, I have Scotland and South Korea! I am also a mother of four but they are all grown up now.

What education and certifications do you have?

It's a long list! I hold qualifications in social care, Animal Microchipping and more. Additionally, I am certified in First Aid and CPR for animals. I'm a keen learner.

What is something you've been acknowledged for in the past or something cool that you have been a part of?

People are always surprised that I can speak 5 languages!
